Klippan Home

For over 140 years, Klippan Yllefabrik has been creating beautiful wool textiles that combine Scandinavian design with exceptional craftsmanship. Every blanket and throw is made using carefully selected natural fibres, chosen for their warmth, durability and sustainability.

Klippan sources its lamb's wool exclusively from New Zealand, where it is fully traceable and certified under the Wool Integrity NZ™ programme. This guarantees high standards of animal welfare, environmental responsibility and a strict ban on mulesing. The wool is independently tested for quality and processed without chlorine bleaching or unnecessary chemicals, preserving its natural softness and purity.

Unlike many manufacturers, Klippan controls every stage of production in its own factory—from spinning and dyeing to weaving and brushing. By using only pure natural fibres and never blending them with synthetic materials, Klippan creates textiles that are not only beautiful and long-lasting, but also biodegradable.

Natural fibres

Klippan works with a carefully selected range of premium natural fibres, each chosen for its unique qualities:

Organic Lamb's WoolCertified organic wool is soft, warm and lightweight, sourced from a sheep's first shearing for exceptional comfort.

Swedish Wool – Locally sourced from farms across southern Sweden and valued for its natural character.

Gotland Wool – A luxurious Swedish wool with a silky sheen and beautiful natural grey tones.

Merino Wool – Exceptionally fine and soft, offering lightweight warmth.

Cashmere – One of the world's most luxurious fibres, renowned for its softness and insulating properties.

Recycled Wool – Repurposed from Klippan's own production process, reducing waste while creating unique natural colour blends.
