Klippan are wool experts with experience that stretches all the way back to 1879. Today, the fifth generation runs the company from the same premises.
Klippan strive to live in harmony with nature, work with resources that already exist and leave as few footprints as possible. That is why, from the start in 1879, they have chosen to always use 100% natural materials. All their wool throws and blankets are made from scratch in their own factory.
Their vision is to manufacture beautiful textiles in high quality, produced with great care for the environment.
Wool is an amazing fibre for many reasons. It is a climate-smart natural material that breathes and has fantastic properties. Wool is environmentally friendly, sustainable and biodegradable.
Each batch of lamb's wool is tested by an independent party - either by the New Zealand Wool Testing Authority or SGS Wool Testing Services. Wool that deviates from the standard is not accepted. In addition, random samples are made at each farm to determine whether the quality is satisfactory and complies with requirement specifications. The wool is handled as gently as possible. It is washed with NPEO-free detergent and no chlorine bleaching occurs. This means that the wool is free from added chemicals.
