Arvet Blue 130x180cm Woven Eco Lambswool Blanket

This lovely blanket in a design called Arvet (meaning Heritage), is designed by Kerstin Landström for Klippan Yllefabrik, and is a textile celebration of Sweden’s rich cultural history and vibrant folk art.

This pattern is a direct homage to the magnificent Hälsinge Manors, seven of which were designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2012 due to their stunningly decorated banquet halls. The design is specifically inspired by a striking stenciled wallpaper found in several of these farms, notably at Gästgivars in Vallsta.

The artistic connection stretches further: many of the decorated Hälsinge farms were painted by artisans from Rättvik in Dalarna, meaning this very pattern can also be found in traditional Dalarna farmhouses, such as Matsgården in Östbjörka.

The design translates the bold, repeating floral and leaf motifs of this regional folk art into a cosy, contemporary textile. Made by Klippan Yllefabrik from lambswool, this blanket is a unique piece of woven art that brings the historical beauty and warmth of Swedish tradition into your home.
